The Samsung Hero E2230 is a candy bar shaped mobile phone that operates on the 2G network. The handset has a 1.77-inch TFT screen with resolution of 128 x 160 and an alphanumeric keypad below it. The phone has a compact design, weighing just 79 g and measuring 46.0 x 109.2 x 14.9 mm. There is an anti-scratch pattern on the back to protect the device from falls and rough handling.

A preloaded Openwave 6.2.3.3 browser lets you browse the Internet without any lags. A VGA camera is included in this Hero range of low-end phones that has 4x digital zoom capability. You can also record videoswith the 0.3 megapixel camera.

The Samsung Hero uses a standard 1000 mAh battery that serves talk time of up to 14 hours and standby time of 660 hours.
